Hello there. I'm Sino. I do photography.

I was born at Thessaloniki, and kept traveling for my own sake ever since. I've just currently came back to Thessaloniki, after a 5-or-so years absence, during which I was living in various places. I do both digital and analog photography, with a bold preference towards the latter.

(Here comes the boring techie talk) I really, really like spending time inside the darkroom. I do all of my developing and printing myself, and, although I can't really say I'm any sort of pro, I am satisfied by the results I can achieve. Most of my 35mm film work is with either a Canon EOS 30 or my most loved Canonet QL17 GIII, with medium format 6x6 dominated by a Yashica-A, which gives me all the imperfection I could ever ask for, while at the same time remaining a serious photographic tool when I need one. When printing, I prefer RC papers and small sizes -- they tend to be easier to work with, dealing with quantities, repeatability, usage of water, etc, while I do appreciate the fact that one can look at the entire picture at first without focusing at details. I believe that details make the shot, but one should be able to choose not to focus at them. When it comes to digital, my weapons of choice are a Canon 400D and Adobe's Lightroom and Photoshop. Never mind the abilities [which I do work hard to gain], I always prefer to keep digital edits to a minimum of "what can be achieved when printing at the darkroom". I'm not of the elitist kind, I just prefer that way of working.
